Wash and Repeat involved calmly painting myself with white paint whilst kneeling on the floor. I then washed myself clean. This pattern was repeated over and over until the repetition became almost trance like.  As the once clean, warm water became cold and tainted with paint, becoming clean was no longer possible.  By sitting in a vulnerable positing, naked, I aimed to explore the tangled relationship between wanting to conceal yet reveal oneself in terms of shame and fear and how difficult it can be to separate the two.

I also became interested in the residue, the aftermath of what had taken place.
